Amazing, isn't it?
Notts County struggle along in the lower divisions for years. Finally they land some decent backing, and Sven appears like a prize pig at a truffle hunt.

Hmmm.
Does he even know who Notts County are or where they are?

Either he knows something we don't, is even greedier than anyone thought, is desperate or they have something on him (which probably wouldn't be hard). Possibly even all 4.

If it happens I will plump for Sven's boundless avarice.

Great thread resurrection, 2SB.

My team Yeovil Town went down with County this year and are in an even worse state. US takeover fell through, interim manager left along with the guy that was sourced with finding new buyers, ten of the team have gone and all non-playing staff associated with the first team have all gone too (assistant manager, goalkeeping coach, analyst and physio). It's now June 8th and we are as unprepared as you could be.

Yeovil fell into the bottom two late on didn't they? Macclesfield had the great escape.

Yep. We beat Newport 6-0 at their place in September and were in the playoffs. Think we won four more games after that.

Macclesfield brought in the much maligned Sol Campbell and he kept them up.

Bloody football! hehe

Wages unpaid today at County apparently. Court case looming.

Made me laugh, fixtures announced today for the National League, I don’t think we’ve got a full team (Notts supporter) and our manager is on the verge of walking. Our prospective buyers are waiting for us to go into administration so they can buy us without debt. It’s a joke!

...bloody football!

And another thing, what pissed me off more than Notts getting relegated was how the media made out that Sol Campbell was a hero! No, just Yeovil and Notts were even stter than Macc!

Surely it's a no brainer? Go into admin & get millions of pounds worth of debt written off. Start afresh with just a ten point deduction?

So, no admin.

Notts average attendance was higher than all the teams in the Scottish Championship bar Dundee Utd. (Just thought that was one hell of a stat)

Big day coming up on Sunday!

I’m happy we’ve made it to Wembley but I’m gutted fans can’t go. My sons 15, last time Notts where at Wembley, I was there, I was 15.

It’s good to see a bit of stability at the club, Good owners, decent manger and a good squad. I’d love to see them back in the league but Harrogate are a decent side and it’s whoever turns up on the day.

Neil Ardley is one of the nicest people in football I have meet, wish him well although Harrogate are a good team and will be hard to beat.

Harrogate won’t be as good without their plastic pitch but I would still fancy them at Wembley unless County play clever, sit deep, 4-5-1, reduce the space and hit them on the counter.
Try to match their passing game and Harrogate will come out successful.

It doesn’t matter how you win a play off final, just need to win!

Just viewed the betting, why are Notts county favourites?

Have Harrogate got an injury crisis?

Harrogate at 21/10 or bigger is fantastic value .

Worth a punt on Harrogate then?

The Guardian seem to have us as the underdog: https://www.theguardian.com/football/2020/aug/01/r...
