I know very little about football but one of the guys at work is trying to change that! He is an avid Manchester City FC fan and claims that he played for them at national and international level.
Quite frankly, I don't believe him and neither do my colleagues. He's about 37 now and has had a 'normal job' since about 1993/4.
He is very non specific about detail but did say that he was a last minute substitute in a Man City v Man Utd league game. I have searched the internet and found nothing. I have tried the supporters club website, the PFA site (he claims to be a member) and loads of others.
Can anyone point me in the right direction before he drives us completely mad please?
His name is Steve Coward and he claims that he was born in Manchester.
Thanks to all

never heard of him

the only season he could have played for us at "international level" (by which i assume he means in europe) was in 2003/04 (ish?) when we "qualified" for the uefa cup through the fair play league

send your query to man city info via the alps - www.uit.no/mancity/mcivta/ - and in the unlikely event he's not having a walter mitty moment, someone will remember him

I played with him at Manchester boys, I heard city signed him, so it’s possible it’s true

He had trials at West Ham with me but they said he wasn't good enough.

I've been following City since my first game in 1961 and I've never heard of him.
