Who remembers him one of the Maverick players of the 70s and 80s. We are over in Spain for a couple of months and we go to watch our local team Mazarron. Tony comes over to spend some time with a very good friend of his who was president of the ex Pat Mazarron supporters club.
He gave a talk about himself and his footballing days, especially his reasons why he did get more England Caps, it was a great insight to those days when I was totally in love with football. A bit later when most people had gone he came and chatted to me and my mate, we asked him various things, like his favourite players football today etc.
He was an absolute gentleman. We got up and I shook his hand and simply said thanks for the memories.
