I grew up supporting that Don Revie team and I think Colin Welland hit the nail on the head when he said for too long they played football that was more inhibited than it should have been (with the net result they didn't win as much as they should have done). Revie himself eventually admitted his failing but by then the damage had been done and sadly many outside Leeds remember only the negative things about what was (in my admittedly biased opinion!) a great side.
