Premiership Fixtures April/May
Discussion
With one midweek exception (and the final day being 4pm on Sunday), every single game is scheduled to kick off at 3.00pm on a Saturday.
Every team plays. 10 fixtures all starting at 3.00pm
This is per the BBC website and I suppose it could be wrong and/or out of date..? I assume it's to do with the World Cup having been in the wrong place.
If it's right does it mean that there will be no live games shown on TV during April/May?

The fixtures are modified as the season progresses, depending on how teams progress in the cup competitions and Europe, and then on top of that the TV companies work about 2 months ahead deciding which fixtures they want to televise in a month, so as we sit here mid February, the April TV picks should be made in a week or so's time. As the season draws to a close, the TV picks are made per game week when it becomes clearer what the significant fixtures are going to be.Every team plays. 10 fixtures all starting at 3.00pm

And here's me thinking it was so there can be no collusion, with teams knowing their situation and their opponents situation before going onto the pitch for the last time.....
The last day of the season all the games will kick off at 3pm, but for the rest of the time the TV companies control the kick off times depending which ones they want to televise. Also as mentioned before, if you are in Europe your games will be predetermined for the relevant days. For example United will play Thursday / Sunday if they have a Europa game that week.

Sorry, thought it went without saying, but on the final day of the season all fixtures kick off at the same time. Sometimes teams already know their fate by then of course.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
