To be fair to Sepp Blatter re the Qatar WC, he never was in favour but the vote of the Executive Committee (who may well have been bribed) went against him. SB no doubt was no angel re under the table payments, but not from Qatar and he was never in their camp.

Absolutely correct, he may have been far from perfect, but Blatter had no part in that murky deal, he has soken about it before. We may though have a look at the deals between France's ex president Sakozy and the Qatar government. Sarkozy is a Paris St Germain fan and he may well have been aware of the takeover of the club. The President of PSG is Qatari, Nasser Al Khelaifi, who was the chairman of QSI (Qatar Sports Investments) who purchased PSG in 2011. The various links show the extent of vote buying, FIFA members who have been banned or even prosecuted.
