FA Silent Weekend
Discussion
No cheering or words of encouragement this week ladies and gents. It's the silent weekend. You can clap politely. Coaches are not allowed to talk to their team, other than at half time. If you need the loo, please ask the FA first. And while at the loo, please keep the noise to a minimum (though a feint clapping sound is ok).

Ok it does sound silly, but there does need to be something done about abused on the sidelines against kids, coaches, referees from parents. Challo said:

Ok it does sound silly, but there does need to be something done about abused on the sidelines against kids, coaches, referees from parents. The FA have conflated quite a few things here: Klopp/Conte/Abuse of Refs/Confused kids hearing multiple sets of instructions etc etc. Unfortunately instead of embarking on stamping out abuse of refs they've asked everyone to be silent. So does that mean in future, in their view, vocal encouragement is bad?? You can see why Southgate is perfect for them.
