I didn't scroll through all the BBC pics but this is one of my fave memories.
If Sky had one moment to sum up the PL for the feeling it gave fans then it would probably be this one.

Enjoyed that, someone really should make a feature film about Arsenal v's Man Utd while everyone's still alive to talk about it.

yes

Maybe it’s nostalgia or because I grew up through it but it’s by far my ‘favourite’ rivalry. Liverpool obviously are the main rivals so don’t need to go down that road, it goes forever. Well we can pause it until further notice. Back then United v Arsenal just hit different with how great both teams were, Sir Alex v Wenger, Keane and Vieira obviously. Neanderthal look a like Keown trying to discover fire. The state Arsenal got into made me feel sorry for them after the 8-2.

Mourinho’s first time at Chelsea was enjoyable as well mostly down to Jose and the team he built to go toe to toe with.

City were probably getting pumped in some Woolworths sponsored league 5-0 by Glover Mart’s Yeovil. biggrin

The good old days. Football is st anyway.

As a United fan I agree about United v Arsenal. Perhaps it was just as much Fergie v Wenger? Or perhaps it was just as much about football being at 3pm on Saturday? Was that true then - I don't even know? Or just my own personal circumstances. Anyway, I loved it and hated it at the same time. It was stressful, I know that.
