Simple really. We are 10 games into the Premier league and you can choose the 3 teams to get relegated.

Toon
Watford
Norwich

I think 3rd bottom will be close between Burnley, Leeds and Brentford but Toon will ultimately go down (even with Emery).

Newcastle are going to throw money and a reputable manager at it, they'll be bottom half but no way they're going down. Burnley have had their time, decent club with some decent players but no money. They'll clean up the Championship 22/23. Norwich won't

I think Norwich and Burnley for the first 2 spots

Third one is tough to call. I think Leeds will get their injured players back and others will find form which will see them pull away (although I am probably biased on that one), but once they have Ayling and Koch back alongside Llorente and Firpo the defence will shore up

I'm going with Southampton for the 3rd spot

With players the quality of Raphinha, Bamford, Phillips & Llorente I can't see them going down; with their style they'll pick up points you wouldn't expect (and lose some the same way!) but a solid lower mid position. I think Watford will struggle but Southampton are unpredictable enough to be down there too. I wonder about Villa too; they seem to have lost their way post Grealish but maybe it's just a bit of a loss of form.

Norwich, Watford and Burnley for me.
I'm a Pompey fan (I know, I know) so I'd like to say Southampton but they manage to get the odd win here and there. They'll be OK. They always are.
Newcastle will surely splash enough cash to improve from January onwards.
Brentford, Villa and Palace each have enough talented players to get the 10+ wins that you need.
Leeds' injuries will clear up and they'll be OK once that happens.

Norwich, Watford and Newcastle for me.

Though Newcastle staying up and Burnley, or possibly Leeds, going down would not surprise me.

I do think Brentford will run out of steam a bit and slide into the bottom 5 or 6 but probably avoid the drop.

Newcastle is the interesting one. Key issue is the manager. Not a huge fan of Emery if it is to be. TBH going down for Newcastle will not be a disaster. They can buy a few good players in the summer and set out a project to get to CL within 5 years or whatever.

Same 3 teams for me too.....and all similar thoughts.
50:50 toss a coin between Newcastle and Burnley for me though.

I went with Newcastle in the end, just because of the current instability of looking for a new manager/coach, after first apparent first choice Emery turned them down, supposedly because they wouldn't agree to a release clause if they got relegated.
If they pick Howe....is he the right one to keep them up, although he's probably be the right one to bring them back up with his Championship experience.
Plus Burnley turned in a good performance against Brentford the other week, which could turn out to be a pivitol 6-pointer come the end of the season, and Dyce has been there years, so that's why they just might have the edge over Newcastle.

Norwich, Burnley and the Toon for me.

Norwich - No brainer, they look so out of their depth

Burnley - I think that they've dallied with the trapdoor too often and it will finally open this season. Like them though!

Newcastle - It's just going to happen isn't it. They finally get rid of Ashley, new mega bucks owners come in, fans are delighted and then they end up relegated. Would be so Newcastle -)

Norwich nailed on cert.
Burnley a weird one - perennial strugglers playing dour football. Agree, think they've had their time. Even with the odd decent player, the mindset just seems too defensive and any team who plays Ashley Barnes quite frankly doesn't deserve to be in the prem.

The 3rd one is tough. Leeds (as a fan) I can't see happening. Yes we've had a bad start but there is quality throughout the squad, moreso when we get Bamford, Ayling etc back. We're only a win away from mid table (although our December fixtures look a nightmare).
I think for me, its out of Newcastle/Watford and I'll stick my neck out here and say Brentford who I can see falling away after having a decent start. I reckon it'll probably be Watford but I'd love it if it was Newcastle. Even with a top manager in, they've got 2 months before they can sign anyone (and who knows how long they'll be without a manager). How far adrift will they be by then? Looking at their fixtures, they've got Norwich at the end of November where you'd think they'll pickup a win but apart from that, December for them is Burnley, Leicester, Liverpool, Man City, Man Utd & Everton.

The way they have been sliding down the table, and again after last nights result, Villa are the team more likely to be looking in danger of joining Norwich and one other in the drop zone.

I reckon Dean Smith could be the next PL manager out on his ear before too long.

Soon changes doesn't it! I had Burnley, Norwich and Newcastle earlier this week and then today all 3 have (or at least with a few mins left) look like getting points today!

And yet.... they're still all down there wink Newcastle are bound to climb with new manager and new players in the January window, Burnley just being Burnely will nick a point here and there but I think their time is done. Norwich; well if they're going to beat anyone it'd be a team like Brentford who were bound to catch a banana skin eventually with their style of play. One swallow does not a summer make wink

True, and then Norwich sack Farke!

Almost inevitable. The club signed several new players to prop up the squad in the PL and Farke seemed confused by this and thought he had to field them. He has never fielded the team that won the Championship and the result has been a misfirng XI that looked all at sea, like they'd never played together before. Which they hadn't.
