With your England hat removed, was that really a penalty?
Discussion
Not a penalty.
I think they played well although there were too many situations when a player was up the front with the ball but non of the rest of the team anywhere near.
So a 'soft' penalty and an own goal.
Still there's been a few big matches when bad decisions have robbed England of a win so I guess it's our turn to have a bit of luck.

If that goes against us we are livid, never was a penalty and we even managed to almost fluff taking that too!
Deserved to win mind you. Italy will be a stiffer test.
I dont think we'd be livid, its the modern game and happens week in, week out these days. Deserved to win mind you. Italy will be a stiffer test.
Minimal contact, penalty, and it was in todays game. We've had plenty go against us, but we now have the players to draw in the fouls as the italians and Spanish have been doing for decades.
Usually given but many seem to think it wasn't a pen, for political reasons. How vile.

Having returned to footie over the last year (lockdown) after many years away (Kind of lost interest about 15 year ago after watching since about 1963) I'm amazed at the number of things that players get away with both play acting and setting themselves up to be fouled as well as the hugging, grabbing, shirt pulling that in many cases gets waved on.
In the 60's and 70's players just used to hack each other down.
The game is so much more technical now.

Probably not a penalty, but their goal was from not a free kick as well.
And the own goal would have been a goal if the defender had missed it anyway
Indeed. And let’s not forget the obvious backpass to Schmeichel in the 3rd minute that was just waved away. And the own goal would have been a goal if the defender had missed it anyway
Danish #24 makes contact albeit very minimal, has no intention of going for the ball, immediately raises hands to protest innocence. Not clean or ideal for England but a penalty. Danes we’re on their knees, from 80 mins onwards they were playing for penalties knowing they had the better keeper, were I a neutral I’d feel they got their just desserts.
