What are your thoughts?

I’m a follower (not fanatical) but my level of interest has waned to the point that I can’t take the game seriously.

What do others think?

Desperate, cannot wait for the crowds to be fully allowed back, it makes a massive difference with a crowd.

Agreed, the crowd atmosphere just makes the whole experience come alive. At the moment football is just a TV soap, but when crowds return I'm sure the excitement of the crowd will be even better than before. Hopefully all goes well and it's safe to go back.

Season ticket holder, I'm missing it a lot.

It was the time I spent with my 2 sons every couple of weeks with a shared passion, cant wait to get back (and see my team drop back to its 'normal' relegation battle season!).

"Football without the fans is nothing". Jock Stein's quote is 100% true.

I'm still watching, but it's not the same game. The players aren't at the same levels of performance or motivation. So many basic errors this season due to lack of focus.

In both Scotland and England I'm struggling to remember the last good game of football I watched. There has been so many half-hearted games, or completely one sided games.

Just about every time I've watched Man Utd this season they've been poor. I read the thread on here and the fans are often critical about the games I've not watched, and they are still good enough for second. It does show how weak the league has been this year.

Look across all leagues in Europe and so many of the teams that usually dominate are having bad seasons. Is that just a coincidence?

My team, Charlton Athletic, has a link to all the team's matches - home and away - at a tenner a time. Yes, the missing crowds and attendant atmosphere is a big downside to the current season, but I'm very glad that I can view all Charlton's games even if it is without the spectators.

One thing that has been highlighted, is the racket both benches makes when shouting instructions to their players. They seem louder than a reasonably attended home game!

Lee Bowyer, Charlton manager has resigned. Thought I would throw that into the mix.

I've watched my team maybe 2/3 times this season. A season without fans doesn't interest me at all. Just not bothered. I'm quite shocked about how little I care about football at the moment.

It's much more palatable where they are piping in crowd sounds. When it's a silent stadium and all you hear are players/staff shouting, it's very odd.

I can't watch it without the crowd sounds. I do forget sometimes that there isn't a crowd so I feel like it's done quite well however it's definitely not the same without a live crowd.

He's just come to us and I don't really understand why. New owner at Chartlton and when i hear him on TalkSport with Jim White he seems OK, (better than our useless lot)

You are looking up, flirting with playoffs and we are only heading one way. He's only been given a contract until June 2022 so iI think if we do go down he will be told, automatic promotion.. if we somehow stay up he will be told top 10 finish or you're out.

I was sorry to see he's left you, he looked to be doing well all things considered.

Back on topic.. I don't really watch much football now.. the Premier League just isn't interesting and i support Birmingham so i don't really want to watch them either.

Fans have been aloud back into golf over in the states the last few weeks and i haven't missed them ''get in the hole'' nobheads one bit
