I've compiled an alternative current premier league table, the lower the score, the higher up the league you are.

The current top 4 are:

Crystal Palace 2.1
WBA 4.4
Fulham 4.5
Villa 5.4

The current bottom 4 are

Spurs 1390
Man U 1656
Wolves 3665
Leeds 6990

If anyone asks, I'll give them any other teams current position. Anyone figure out how the table is compiled? Internet pint for the winner.
(when the score gets over 20, I round up or down to the nearest whole number)

Whatever the basis of this table, I like it - can you persuade the EPL to adopt this method instead of the old '3 points for a win' system? Thanks smile

I don't think it will help me but where would Man City be? Can't comprehend any measurement that differentiates first and last by a factor of thousands!

Man City are struggling in 15th, with a score of 1091.

Here's another clue, the top 6:

Crystal Palace 2.1
WBA 4.4
Fulham 4.5
Villa 5.4
Sheff Utd 9.9
Newcastle 17.5

7th are Brighton on....148, a big jump. So focus on the top 6, what do they all have in common?

The Leeds keeper must've been busy, with nearly 7000 saves made.

Errr...no, 'fraid not

Was just a random guess based on all those clubs keepers likely being quite busy. Hey Ho.

Distance of where the team is based compared to where their manager is from??? biggrin

I thought this originally, but being a Wolves fan I focussed on them. Stupidly forgot Nuno wasn't born in Portugal.

This has pissed me off since seeing this 5 mins after you first posted it hehe

Nice one.

Roy was born in Croydon and manages Palace, so he's top of the league. Bielsa was born in Rosario, Argentina, a long way from Elland Road, so he's rock bottom. Nuno was born in San Tome, in Africa. WBA made a shrewd move getting rid of Bilic (born Split, 1406 miles from West Bromwich), and appointing Big Sam (born Old Park Farm, just 4.4 miles away). They jumped into 2nd place, ahead of Fulham (Scott Parker, born Lambeth).

My team, Chelsea, dropped a clanger getting rid of Frank (born Brentwood), and opting to go with Tuchel (born Krumbach, Germany). Dropped us right down the table.

One with the average of players' distance from the club would be interesting and time consuming biggrin

Nice brainteaser - as a Leeds fan it should have been quite obvious but hey-ho! smile
