The Athletic - is it worth it?

I keep seeing articles linked to them on Twitter and I know they've signed some excellent (IMO) writers, but does anybody subscribe to this and if so it it worth the money? Thanks

They write some good articles which passed the time when I had 3 months free from them. I didn’t carry it on however.

They currently do a 7 day free trial then I guess when you cancel you’ll receive 50% off for 6 months.

I was looking at the seven day trial but you have to put in payment details and I never trust it when a company does that as I always imagine you have to jump through hoops.

A lot of their articles are cross-reported on other sites but it's normally just the headline quotes and not the less salacious stories
