Not missing football

Anyone else simply not missing football? Loved it for as long as I remember despite supporting a now crap team. Dwaining interest over the last few years but the lockdown is the final nail I think. Maybe getting old.
Desperate to see some cricket though.
Do you go to football matches?Desperate to see some cricket though.
I love going to a game but hardly ever watch it on Tv.
Don’t miss football as much as the day out.
At the end of a tough week was great to go to the footie (season ticket) with my lads and unwind, irrelevant of the result. However, as getting to the game took over 2 hours of travelling on train and tube I can’t see us doing that for some time sadly.
As for watching the remaining games on TV with no crowd or atmosphere, no thanks.

About 2 or 3 times a year. I live in West London and watch Fulham or Brentford each season although am an Ipswich Town fan. It's becoming less and less of an enjoyable experience although a half time pint behind the riverside stand at Craven Cottage is pleasant (not possible at the moment). I really like Griffin Park as it's an old school ground which is friendly but more excited about the new Brentford stadium as it will ground share with London Irish so I can watch premiership rugby at the end of the road.

West Ham / Lazio fan here..Desperate to see some cricket though.
Not missing West Hams terrible performances, tomorrow should of been Villa last day of the season and most likely our relegation...
I am however missing the several matches in Rome that I have missed, Lazio are well on the tail of Juventus at the moment.
I'm missing it really badly. My life is just a void, hollow sham. Feel like I'm in a spiralling vortex of misery and despair. The weekends are crap without football.
On the plus side, have become closer to the wife, and we talk more. I knew she seemed down, turns out she lost her job at Woolworths.

Can't really say I miss it
Having just come out of retirement for the cricket I'm gutted that we're not playing. Really wanted to take Dad to the Test match this year after what happened last (we were at Headingley on the last day last year but he was taken ill at about 2pm and we missed Stokes' heroics as were in the LGI)
I massively miss Rugby League though - both playing and watching, as does our 16 year old

I'm missing it (season ticket holder for Wolves). The past 3 years watching them have been some of the best i've seen in my lifetime, its become a joy to go down and watch. I keep seeing clips of games on social media and re-watched a couple of games we've played this season.
The one thing I don't miss is getting out the carpark after the game. Takes an hour to an hour and half to get out!

My son and I go over often to Germany for a weekend for the football. Dortmund is our German team, mainly due to being able to go on the yellow wall. Just amazing, especially when they play Bayern or Schalke. The atmosphere is like English football in the 70s, but with better football!
My brother is a Brighton fan, and they have some affiliation with St Pauli. Luckily, his employer's HQ is in Hamburg so he goes over every few weeks and goes to see them.

Dwaining interest
Not having a go, mate, but here's a prime example of something I just can't get my head around. If you can not get upset and just answer a straight question, what do you think this means/where do you think it comes from, or do you just not bother with that stuff? I'm genuinely intrigued.Gassing Station | Football | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
