Liverpool denied?
Discussion
Just a few weeks ago it looked inevitable that Liverpool would finally win the Premiership after 30 years...but now the end of the season has been “postponed” which probably means cancelled. So what happens if they don’t get to finish it? Null and void? Seems harsh but if they gave it to Liverpool based on results so far it wouldn’t be the same as winning properly and despite their magnificent record this year the victory would be tainted.
And what about the clubs threatened with relegation? What happens to them?

If this things still going at the end of May, they must surely just call it an end to the season. That may need agreement of all the teams. There may be a clause that says something like "at the end of the season, the team with most points wins" etc. One hypothesis I have is that they could hold a pools panel and make an informed guess as to what the outcomes of games might have been, and go from there. Regarding playoffs and demotion, another possibility is that in August they hold a short series of playoffs over say 3 weeks for the non-automatic spots. Maybe expand that to 8 teams to avoid relegation? Lots of possibilities, but choosing precisely which one will depend on when the virus subsides and just how much time is left before any new season finally starts.
It was always going to be a dubious title anyway given the PL's stated claim of having, I quote, '' a strategy in place to ensure different teams win the league'' coinciding with Liverpool getting an unnaturally high level of favourable decisions through the newly introduced VAR, allowing them to win most matches by the narrowest of margins.
Liverpool fans should be grateful if the season is cancelled and ruled null and void, given the number of question marks that would have hung over any #taintedtitle that they may or may not have won this season

Could you provide some evidence to support the claim of 'unnaturally high level of favourable decisions through the newly introduced VAR'?Liverpool fans should be grateful if the season is cancelled and ruled null and void, given the number of question marks that would have hung over any #taintedtitle that they may or may not have won this season

I take it you don't watch much football to have seen it for yourself?I'll wait.
Perhaps City have '''cheated'' FFP rules... Those rules that were specifically brought in to prevent any other clubs from disrupting the cosy little cartel of traditional ''big'' clubs, who have all at some point in their history relied on the financial support of a wealthy owner or chairman

Please, you really shouldn't give me such credit, are you suggesting that I've apparently single handedly got #taintedtitle and #LiVARpool into common internet vernacular? You're a Blue Moon Loon.
