With both players and Managers now coming down with covid19 and games being cancelled will the plug be pulled on all leagues ?

And if so how could they possibly sort it ?

Other leagues have been postponed already around the world, would imagine at the least it will be postponed sometime this weekend.

Problem is going to be fixture congestion, as I'm not sure that they'll be able to push the end of the season back much because of the Euros. That's if they still go ahead as planned eek

the world would be a much better place if football was cancelled.

Yep of course, unemployment would also be greatly increased in a lot of countries.

Money means completing the European season is more important than the Euros. If push comes to shove the Euros will be postponed to let the domestic leagues complete.

Imagine the financial and legal problems if you stop the league at this point. Who plays in next seasons CL, who get relegated promoted?

You would reset as if 2019-20 season didn’t happen. That’s the only fair way. Well there’d be outrage in Liverpool but a two week suspension should be imposed first and then two games a week....

From what I have heard there are far more premier league players who have symptoms of the virus than just those that have been mentioned so far, I cannot see any way that games will take place this weekend.

Outrage? I think they'd bloody well riot TBH.

However, as a Spurs fan I think it's the fairest way. laugh

Scrap all domestic and euro leagues/cups, start again next season as though this season hadn't taken place. No promotions or relegations in any league.

So the teams that qualified for the 2018-19 would go into the CL for 2020-2021? I can see Manchester United, Arsenal and Leicester reaching for their lawyers if you try that.

No relegation from the Prem this season? I think you'll find the winners of the Championship also reaching for the lawyers.

Whether or not you award Liverpool the title for this season is a small issue compared to all the other problems you get if the fixtures aren't played.

Can’t see a two week suspension working. In two weeks time I suspect the country will go to the next phase of this which won’t give any matches the possibility of going ahead. In fact my view is that this will the position next Friday.

The experts believe this is going to be a 12 week thing which means we are probably looking at June before any possible resumption. That leaves very little time for playing the remaining games and then having a close season then pre-season prior to next year.

I think the league should be abandoned immediately. Playing behind closed doors isn’t right and isn’t what football is about (assuming teams actually have well players)
However, despite what some may think, Liverpool should be given the title (the idea of the top 2 having a play off is ridiculous (we’d win obviously but it’d still be ridiculous)
What they should do about relegation/promotion and European places I’ve no idea and I’m glad it’s not up to me.

Next season is scheduled to start on 8 August 2020.

Postpone the Euros, scrap pre-season and you can play games in June and early July.

Shortened games? Double headers? Failing all else, bingo ball draw for the scores!
