I despair.

And two Watford supporters in hospital (I think) after four Everton fans decided to give them a good kicking tonget over their 1-0 loss
It’s why I’ve lost interest in football over the years - too many morons!
I don't think there are too many, four out of forty thousand is not a majority. These incidents are really rare nowadays. There will always be individuals who are old school football hooligans but they are dying out. Rugby is always held up as good behaviour but I live near Twickenham stadium and the mixing of fans in Richmond has not always been pleasant it's just not as blasted around the media as football is. It’s why I’ve lost interest in football over the years - too many morons!

I agree with the rugby comparison. Any minor issue for a footballer, or football related, is headline news. Rugby does get far more slack and issues pushed under the carpet to protect the image.
Although violence has dropped in football A lot of the chants, abuse and songs from the stands remain. A number of the club specific forums are a bit unpleasant to read, but it's not often what happens in the stands and on the forum spills into the real world.
The fact very few would say, or do, these things in public says a lot.
I was at the game yesterday and yes, we saw a handful of home supporters being escorted from the area adjacent to the Cardiff fans. I did hear rumours why they were thrown out, and the BBC article seems to confirms it.
I'm sure the club and the overwhelming majority of Saints fans (myself included) are embarrassed and angered at the tasteless behaviour of a tiny minority of mindless idiots..
It's almost exclusively season ticket holders in that area and I'd fully support any action the club decided to take against those known to be involved.

I don't know who it was who said this, but he or she was on the money:
Football once served a purpose - ordinary, decent folk could go about their business knowing that the underclass had been lured to a vast keeping-pen on the outskirts of town, where you put half of them in different coloured shirts and then they just go at each other like budgerigars and mirrors.

I was at the game yesterday too, a couple of rows in front of these idiots. I feature in the Twitter video but was unaware of what was going on when they were kicked out
These guys are there every week and sit with a lot of similarly vulgar fans.
No great loss having them banned
For the record there were others singing some awful chants about Sala which I think was worse, I hope they also get banned.

I too was at the game yesterday but in a different stand so was unaware of this till afterwards. Hope these w@nkers get a life ban and any others who were acting like c*nts.
The problem is over 30,000 people impeccably respected the minutes silence and this is overlooked because of a couple of morons.
