"Grandma" is always banging on about Sir Stanley Matthews to the kids (to the point of boredom), anyway, a couple of days ago she rocks up with this!
Expect it'll be framed and shoved on the wall somewhere. Nice of him to take the time to even reply, not sure what she invited him to.
We got a reply from then Sheff Utd manager Neil Warnock when we wrote in congratulating them on promotion and mentioned my OH went to school with Jack Lester, long lost though, suspect it was from a club minion.
Anybody got anything else that's not an autograph or a shirt?

I was once invited to Bolton v Watford as a corporate guest. It was just after the Reebok opened and we were in the box that was hosted by Sir Nat Lofthouse. One of the pieces of 'entertainment' was predicting the score. As a Watford fan I went for a Watford win, my Watford supporting boss was more cautious and chose a draw. Everyone else of the 50 or so people chose a Bolton win of one type or another, or a few draws.
Watford won (first Bolton loss at the Reebok, I believe) - and so I was duly presented with a signed Bolton Pennant from Sir Nat. I gave it away for nothing on a football forum to someone I knew who was a die-hard Bolton fan
