Where are all of the England fans???

It’s the quarter final of the World Cup and only 2,600 tickets have been sold to England fans with 10,000 remaining unsold according to todays press.

Time was we were the best supported team there.

Sad times.

No other country has been this scared to travel and I do think fear has been the major issue.

The FA have an allocation of 2180 tickets for the semi. They’ve asked for 672 for the 3rd place match. They’ve only asked for 3553 for the final. So ‘officially’ there can’t be a massive following anyway.

Anyway, it’s still money. You could buy your £143 ticket for today, take the £400 flight and double that to include a nights accommodation. So a grand to go watch a game. No thanks

You have to ask how all of the other countries will vastly outnumber us then.

Like I said, its fear thats stopping them/us. But at his stage I’d have expected an exodus even if not everyone had a ticket.

And 90% of them are on summer holiday already for the next 6 weeks as they are entitled to take their whole holiday allowance in one hit. Causes a right pain in the rear at work as we are a Swedish company and HQ might as well be closed down for the number of people who are actually in the office.
