A big drop since well before christmas. Top players on the sick list. Another desperate fight to stay in the Championship. I fear so. Come on you Addicks.
Was working at the Charlton v Bristol City game on Boxing Day. Quite impressed with the Addicks... apart from the first 20 minutes of the second half, they were in control. Taylor & Bonne looked really good up top & the young lad Doughty was superb. GloverMart said:

Taylor is our main striker and has only played three times since October, (two injuries), The manager has said that the team is full of boys at the moment. Hopefully at full strength soon. Fulham at home tomorrow.
Keep the faith NS.I don't think we're FOTM on the trivia thread, so this is a better forum.
IIRC, in the 50's my father came home from The Valley one Saturday afternoon not over happy as we needed just to draw the last game of the season to be Div 1 champions, we were playing the bottom club, lost and finished second.

I remember those posts. Lyle Taylor, now with Forest, was our main man, but got injured and was out for months. My dad always quoted a match when they beat Huddersfield town 7-6. Many a happy day down at the - old - Valley as a lad. One of our gang always saved me a front row place on the centre line, so I could see all the action.
The first time I was taken we sat in the stand and the only things I remember are some great saves by Sam Bartram and I was shat on by a pigeon. Sums it all up really.nonsequitur said:
Great result yesterday, coming from behind to win 5-2. Didn't watch the game but the 'Into the Valley' website said it all changed after the subs. A new team, more together more threat up front.
COYR !
When it was 2-1 I thought here we go again, but all's well etc. Brovers on Tuesday, what can possibly go wrong?COYR !

Just seen the Hull City game.
No threat, no plan, no idea. A shameful performance. As the commentators said, 'We need the transfer window, now'.
Nice to see Curbs back commenting on things Charlton.
After last night, perhaps he could give the current manager some guidance. I was talking to a friend, the other CAFC supporter, on the phone yesterday and he said "You can guarantee the when we have games in hand we'll lose them", and the teams above now have games in hand over us. Plus ca change. No threat, no plan, no idea. A shameful performance. As the commentators said, 'We need the transfer window, now'.

A good result today, away and a clean sheet.
But the chances they missed! Half a dozen in the six yard box plus more from not much further out. With conversions of some of the chances I would say 4-0 would have been a fair score.
At least back in the top six.
