Just turned on the women euros 2017, England vs Scotland game.

What a revelation. The quality of play and skill levels are exceptional. There's no complaining to the ref, no falling on the ground screaming like they have been punched by iron mike every time a blade of grass happens to trip them up. No trying to get each other sent of despite a couple of crunching tackles. Maybe the men's game could take a long hard look because I no longer follow the premier league any more due to the blatant cheating and falling over at the slightest hint of contact.

That and I know this is a bit sexist but there are some ladies on there I bet scrub up very well. Take Miss Greenwood for example.

Oh and to top it off England are winning.

I was quite surprised by it as well. Some quality finishing going on from England players!

There was one Scottish player who threw herself to the ground when she was fouled though, she ended up injuring herself more as a result.

Superb performance for the Lionesses. Puts the men and their recent draw against a crap Scotland team to shame.

I don't know, I watched a couple of replays and there was definite boot to shin contact but your right she hurt herself more from the tumble she took. In fairness though it did look painful and it was the only instance I could think of in the entire match which could be seen as a questionable attempt at a dive and that is being exceptionally critical of her.

Oh it was certainly a clear foul, completely agree with that, it was the spectacular throwing herself to the floor to make sure they got the free kick that was amusing.

I watched some of the world cup 2 years ago and it was an awful standard, with balls going right through goalkeepers hands, complete air shots and general very poor standard.

This time though it is worlds apart, confident goalkeepers who can punch, claim crosses, and kick well past the half way line from goal kicks.

It is an enjoyable change from the prima donnas of the premier league

France vs Switzerland is on right now, and it's very entertaining.,
France are by far the better side, but at half time are 1:0 down and down to 10 women. The Swiss are really backs to the wall and trying to get them on the break.

One thing I have noticed is that they probably play actual football longer than in the men's game, because it isn't stopped every 20s for a dive.

Portuguese keeper doing her bit to reinforce the stereotypes about women keepers. But a great finish by Duggan. But apart from that, not great so far. Hoping for a better 2nd half.

Considering it was the England B team, not a bad result. Undefeated and top of the group; if it was the men it would be front page news, which is a bit sad really.

Shocking stat of the day. This is the first time we've got 9 points from our 3 group matches at a tournament since Ron Greenwood's team at Spain '82.

I know we're bad, but ffs!

I may be wrong, but didn't the Portuguese side have their first names on the back of their shirts, and the English their surnames?

Do all Portuguese footballers, male and female, do this? Or this their a deeper cultural reason why this should be so.

The coverage in the media of this euros has been abysmal.
For example, the wrong horse winning a race had more coverage than england beating Portugal.

All credit to channel 4 for actually showing this though, shameful of the BBC.

Germany have 3 mins to equalise or they are out to Denmark, which would be a huge shock.
