I think it is about time we had one of these, even if I might be the only one posting in it
We're on the verge of the top flight for the first time in 45 years. Just the tricky hurdle of Reading to overcome, it couldn't be more of a 50-50 game. Both sides winning 1-0 at home in the league fixtures and very evenly matched all over the pitch.
To be in the play off final with our budget is one of the best achievements in modern football. Not quite up there with Leicester winning the Premier League but it isn't too far behind.

Well done last night and enjoy the play off final. I lived in Huddersfield for 3 years but my story is that my Grandad, a Sheffield United fan drove to a game and parked his car. When he came out of the game, he could not find it, but 3 Huddersfield fans spent an hour helping him work out where he had put it. Just for that I'll be supporting your team to get promoted
Huddersfield is my home town, I moved away in 2010 however. I'm glad to see them doing well and hope that they get promoted - Wagner really has turned the tables for them considering they were being pipped for relegation by a couple of pundits at the start of last season.
All the best for your game at Wembley

I will also be rooting for Huddersfield in the play-off final! Would much rather my team (Leeds) was still involved but with Boro, Hull and Sunderland coming down from the Premier League I'd like to see another Northern team go up along with Newcastle.
Going into the play-offs I really thought Fulham had the momentum and would be the team to beat and I'm a bit surprised they failed to make it to Wembley. However, I reckon that improves Huddersfield's chances as I think Reading are very beatable - good luck on 29th May!

Could go up with a negative goal difference! Haha.
That's a good point - I just looked back over the league tables all the way back to the 2000/2001 season and it hasn't happened in that time. Infact the lowest goal difference of a team finishing in the Championship promotion or play off spots was Bristol City back in 2007/2008 on +1OptaJoe eat your heart out.
When my lads and I went "around the grounds" for charity last month, Huddersfield treated us like kings for the day we got up there, hence I will be supporting them.
It was Good Friday and the lads in the commercial & hospitality department gave us tickets for the match plus we had access to the Ray Wilson suite where we met Alan Kennedy and Mark Lawrenson before the game.
Also helped that the Terriers scored a 90+7 minute winner that day too. Atmosphere was superb and the whole afternoon will be memorable for a lifetime.

Good to hear some positive stories. You'll struggle to find a more family orientated, friendly club than Huddersfield Town. We've got an awful lot to thank Dean Hoyle
All we want is one season in the Premier League. It will set us up for years and mean we can be properly self sufficient for the first time in years

I've heard a lot about Dean Hoyle - the driving force behind the commercial side is Sean Jarvis who is so incredibly switched on; he could make a million by going round other sleepy clubs and waking them up a bit. Great club, am desperately hoping they will come good in the final v Reading.
2 days to go and starting to feel the nerves
Great to have almost everyone fit apart from Stankovic and Billing with long term knee injuries. Having Palmer back is the best bit of news we could have had and even if he is only on the bench it has increased our chances greatly
I hope we go up just so we can get Palmer and Brown back again next season. Chelsea are very lucky to have two young lads that aren't just excellent players but also real down to earth great lads to have around the club
