When are UEFA going to do something about the utter s who police the Real matches. Every set of foreign fans who go there come back with tales of brutality.

A mate of mine, and Man City fan, was beaten to a pulp inside the stadium in the corridor in a completely unprovoked attack last year. This guy is late 50s, a family man, who has never been in any trouble in his life. Ended up in hospital and missed the match. Even now he has no idea what really happened. Was walking along minding his own business, next thing he's on the ground and about 4 of the animals are wading in with batons.

Now Bayern have made an official complaint to UEFA after many of their fans complained of unprovoked violent attacks from police last night.

Apparently the same situation doesn't prevail at Athletico. Or if it does, I haven't heard about it.

Fortunately, Chelsea haven't been drawn against Madrid in the CL era so I have no personal experience. but too many stories of unprovoked brutality abound for it to be untrue.

Anyone on here with any stories to tell.

Its the only away fans that they come across in the CL because no one goes from other Spanish clubs in LL

I used to go to 3 or 4 CL away matches a season back when United used to be good enough to qualify and get into the knockout stages.

My experience of Real Madrid wasn't bad at all. In fact the beatings dished out were pretty well deserved when a bunch of drunken fans tried to storm the gates. Admittedly the brutality dished out was a shock based on what I've seen at home matches for the last 20 years. However, football over here has been sanitised into a family outing. Go back to the 70s and you'll get where some of the European football fans are at, so police reactions may be understandable if not fully justified.

Ironically given that it's a German club complaining the most intimidated I ever felt was at Stuttgart where we were penned in with huge metal barricades and netting just like the 70s and then when leaving were greeted by fully balaclava'd up riot police in black gear with every 5th copper holding onto what seemed like a rabid German Shephered foaming at the mouth and straining at the lead. The police were standing g in the trees and unlit areas just off the footpaths and covered the route for about a mile away from the ground.

Where did I say it was? I said that we aren't used to seeing any violence at all so what would've been the norm 30 years ago is now viewed as extraordinary and shocking.
