No. Cos there ARE worse sides in the division. But not many currently.

They are 1 point above relegation places with 15 points with Leicester sitting top of the league with 35.

Those places would look normal if the roles were reversed! They won't get relegated, but it's one hell of a fall from grace. It makes Moyes efforts at United look hugely successful.

Yes. If he really loses the dressing room, but does't get sacked, then yes. Has he ever been involved in a relegation battle? No. New ground.

Something will change to stop it happening though.

There are worse teams yes, but some of those teams lift themselves to avoid relegation.

Would love to see Chelsea go down. Days before winning the champions league. Lol, what a dream.

No chance.
They could quite easily go and spend £200m in January and buy 4 new players. Could still end up 4th hehe

Villa are gone. Swansea are in trouble. Sunderland are shaky. Norwich are in trouble.

Two of these teams would need to turn it around, and Chelsea would have to continue with their present form.

I can't see it happening.

No big team in big trouble has gone down recently. Spurs and Liverpool have been in worse positions and turned it around by the end of the season haven't they in recent years past...?

What are the biggest teams to get relegated in PL years? Leeds, Newcastle, man city, Southampton, Portsmouth, Any more? Not the same class as Chelsea.

The closest comparison is Dortmund last year, who after 16 games had 15 points, exactly the same as Chelsea. They eventually finished with 46 points and finished 7th. Realistically that's probably the best they can hope for.

Didn't realise Moyes had guided Man U to 3 league titles.

Don't be daft - it was Everton he guided to 3 league titles.

It won't happen.

It's unbelievable that they are in the position they are, but watching them, it's merited.

Mourinho appears to be getting a fair amount of time to turn it around. Personally I don't think he can and he's part of the problem.

He's got no real history of turning teams around as far as I can see. He's taken over top of the league clubs and had lots of money to throw about to improve things further.

Chelsea need a grafter now, not a crumbling whinger.

Oooooo touchy. I meant that Moyes took a team to 7th that had won the title the year before.

You won't see me defending him or the Dutch tt either.

I think I'm right in saying that Dortmund had a horrific injury list at the beginning of the season, in addition to losing one or two of the best players that summer. Once they got a few key players back from injury then they were able to start to turn things around.

In contract Chelsea have made signings in the summer (though maybe not the signings everyone expects of a club like Chelsea), and haven't actually been too bad with the injuries.

But a lot of Chelsea's woes are confidence related. Once that is back they'll steadily climb up the table. If they don't find it, however, I could see them easily finishing 12-15th.
