I like it because it helps me identify the threads where the plastic supporters are lurking. Y'know the ones, the Yoonited fans from Surrey, the Liverpool fans from Bristol, the Citeh fans from Cornwall... All talking about 'their' clubs in the first person like they were brought up in spitting distance of the ground.

I live in NI but support Ipswich Town. Every time I go to a home match I have to drive to the airport , get a flight, hire a car etc.etc. am I not as much of a fan/ supporter as someone walking to the ground.ArmaghMan said:

^^^I should also have added that plastics never go to the matches, bonus points if they've never made it to 'their' team's ground.

Just look at the footie forum as a whole. Then click back here. Go on.
Looks bloody stupid if you ask me. Should bin all this 'official' b
ks.
The Forest fans have it right
Always just put it down as needing a thread/ 1 thread for each club rather than ending up with separate threads every time a different topic came up for the club in question. Putting "official" before the club name just marked it as the thread to use for that club. Not needed but I don't mind it being in the title.Looks bloody stupid if you ask me. The Official Southampton thread was just called SAINTS.
Is it OK to have an unofficial thread for a club as well as an official one?
Yes, but it's like Pro Evo vs. FIFA. We'd have to be called Hampshire Reds, with Graziano Pollo upfront, and Dejan Turdbrick in midfield. And don't forget Ryan Bartroond. Is it OK to have an unofficial thread for a club as well as an official one?
