Nice, do other people tell you that when you post on the other clubs threads....
It's only friendly banter chap, anyway i get my Forest ticket tomorrow and I notice the price has dropped £2 since last year. £30 for us Foxes this season. have all your ticket prices dropped then?Devilstreak said:
To be honest pal I'm not sure. The season ticket was there or there abouts from last year.
Have your prices changed in line with all this dodgy cash your spending?
Season ticket (oops card this year) has gone up by about a pound a game, £370 for where I sit.Have your prices changed in line with all this dodgy cash your spending?
I'm not sure on match day prices.
Dodgy money? Thai baht is the way forward don't you know!
Joking aside I'm sure you'll agree if your club started splashing the cash left, right and centre you wouldn't oppose it.
The owners have made it clear to all they want Prem football ASAP. I just hope we don't get our pants pulled down like QPR fans if and when that happens. The jury is still out on that one.
370 Bargain!
Of course, any fan would love cash to be splashed left right and centre. Unlikely to happen at the City Ground after the Pleat debacle though.
I would just be a bit apprehensive after the Notts County fuss, also after watching the dispatches:how to buy a football club. I would be a little nervous.
Good luck though, I hope you do well. Bet you are chuffed about the win over your local rivals this week

another fox here! not a season ticket holder due to health, and I was annoyed when they moved to the walkers as I use to be able to see som of the pitch from the LRI before lol
eciting season ahead! I just hope we can live up the the VERY high expectations! maybe stealing 1 or 2 of forests potential signings will sort it

Nah, we want promotion not relegation! Devilstreak, yes that programme worried me somewhat, I still wonder why some foreign bussinessman would want to spend loads of cash on quite frankly a loss making company (as most clubs are) when they are not even from that region or country.
Now if David Wilson, CJ Upton or some other Leicestershire bussinessman bought the club you would feel a bit more comfortable with it. Jack Walker and Balckburn?
We will have to wait and see but the early signs are they are here for the long term and not some fly by night and they have invested heavily and branded their company name all over the place when they don't do any trading in the U.K as far as i know and are making the club big news back in Thailand. So all is good.
Sven has been given backing for any signing he has wanted and most so far are players he has had before, mainly at Manchester City so he knows their capabities well.
Either way it certainly is going to be an interesting season ahead.

No you're not, I'm a fox in SK2 and travel to most games even death valley stadium this Tuesday night!
This might be a quite thread though as there aren't too many of us here.
Still, the group has doubled in size already
I've got a distinct feeling that this thread will get very opionionated from all regions...This might be a quite thread though as there aren't too many of us here.

Everybody likes to talk about the odds on favourites.......don't they!

Is that the Fosse boys side or the dug out side of the Kop? I can never remember which it is!Everybody likes to talk about the odds on favourites.......don't they!

I think you have to be realistic about the season, 46 games is a long time but every pundit on TV, in the papers say we'll be one of the two to go straight up so there must be a good chance of it.
Fingers crossed eh!
We'll probably get some abuse away from home from disgrunted fans of other clubs that haven't spent as much but I can take that if we keep winning on the road
Edited to add. You're to my left I've just looked at a plan, wave a scarf on Saturday so i can spot you before kick off!

I dont think that will be he case this year though
and I tend to be in SK1 if i can fosse boys side)ho I wish their wasnt so many grumpy gits in the kop though!
I know what you mean, the atmosphere at times isn't good but I couldn't stand in L block all season, I like to watch the game not the away fans for 90 minutes.I dont think that will be he case this year though

Mind you I get slightly jealous of L block after we have scored a goal, we should get a kop poznan going.
Long suffering season ticket holder here
The performance against Birmingham was very poor, but not surprising at all. Ref was right to send Mills off and award their pen, I think King was a little unlucky not to get one later on but I'm not sure of that one.
It highlighted perfectly what I believe has been our problem certainly all this season, if not prior to that as well. A complete lack of any width, which should be no surprise given we have no wingers to speak of (Dyer excluded, but he doesnt seem to get much of a look in these days) and 4 central midfielders playing at once.
Last season the problem wasn't so obvious because we had two very athletic and attacking minded full backs who could overlap, but with Konchesky and Pantsil or Peltier you clearly dont have that same attacking ability from those positions. Not knocking them as players, they are decent pro's and have played ok in the games I have seen. (we also conceded a lot of goals last season perhaps in part due to our attacking intent from the back !)
I'm not a fan of Vassell either, he's never been a goalscorer, and with our 'wingless wonders' isnt giving enough as a wide forward either, however I dont want to pick scapegoats, its the system that is wrong. Lets hope Beckford is fit to start with Nugent tomorrow, who has been a pleasant surprise so far this year.
Anyway, enough doom and gloom, looking forward to Watford and Milwall, and then I'll be takin a trip to West Ham

From the stand on Sunday it was hard to see why Mills went for that tackle but after watching it on Sky+ yes it was a straight red. Infact apart from Jean whatever his name, the second half ref was consistant and correct. He should've had a 2nd yellow but escaped it.Kings claim for a penalty? He ran into a player standing his ground and the ball had already run away from him, maybe he would've given it to even up the game but highly doubtful and didn't!
Pantsil doesn't like going past the halfway line, he'll take the ball to there then hold up.
Konchesky I thouught had a poor game, his crossing, passing wasn't as good as it should and has been.
We seem to have a discipline problem creeping in I think, that's 3 reds now and 2 of them were straight reds. This needs nipping in the bud before we are short of key players due to bans but as I heard, Mills was 1 yellow from a ban anyway so he'd have missed one game even if he stayed on the pitch.
Have you got your Hammers ticket yet? I went down yesterday, the coach stewards reckon it will be sold out before general sale. I had to chuckle as the ticket has a picture of the 2012 stadium on it. I thought that deal fell through the other week.
6 points from 2 home games now is almost a must to stay within the leading pack.
