The England players that play for Man Utd got that, despite getting hammered at Palace.

Do England players deserve it is a more pertinent question.

I would imagine yes, if they played great but got beat by the better team on the day, the fans would applaud them for their efforts.

I would actually say yes. They give their all, though it might not be the best but that is down how they are set-up, trained, selected and inspired by the manager.
