Yep, it’s pity the season turned into a relegation fight again, and we finish with a lower points total than last year.

Hopefully with the panic trading behind us and Nuno more secure we can hope for better things. Can’t see all three going down next year so we need to up our game.

Probably the same place!

I hope we keep Nuno, as (despite my comment above) I think he has made us a more attractive team to watch. I can see us moving to 3 x CB's next year with Aiana and Neco as WB's, as that has worked well for Nuno in the past.

Haha. I really hope we can keep Murillo and MGB as (IMO) they are the two best (forward!) passers in the club. I don't think Murillo is ready to move to the really big time just yet. Maybe we could sell him for 70mio and then get him loaned back for a year.

Agree with all of that! Aina has been awesome at times this year.

Has anyone read something concrete on what sales we have to make before end of June? 20mio seems a consistent figure, but it's not clear if that is 20mio profit, or just 20mio cash flow. I assume the former, unfortunately. I'm not sure I can see us getting this done in time if it's the sale of Murillo. Selling Joe to the Blunts for 5mio would be good, as that would be clear profit. But not sure any of the other fringe players would generate enough....

Would be good to read something concrete on it.

The only people that know anything concrete will be the club and they wont want to leak that info as it would put them in a weakened position when it comes to negotiating any sales.

PSR looks at the amortised figures, not sale price. I've read/heard various figures from as low as £20m needed to £65m!

I thought it was Mangala plus £20m of sales.

The whole implementation of PSR is nonsense - everyone knows that we are forced to offload players before the end of June, which puts in an incredibly poor negotiating period. But then we can spend £105m on 1st July - WTF?

I’m still hoping we can sort out something with Olympiacos, where we sell a player in June and then ‘unfortunately’ that player doesn’t fit in in Greece (and wants to return to Nottingham), so we buy them back a few months later…

Sad news about Kevin "Souper" Cambell today. Was brilliant for us in the promotion season under Dave Bassett, and who knows what would have been with him and PVH in the season after that if not for our useless owners at the time. I was in the Clock End when he scored for us v arsenal in 96 or 97 and remember belting out the "Souper Kevin Campbell" song.

I think him and the Bartman signed on the same day....sadly both no longer with us,

RIP

So:
Bournemouth (home) followed by Southampton (away) followed by Wolves (home) - should be on 9 points and top of the league after 3 games.
biggrin

Niakhate gone to OL for about £20mio. With only 1 year left on his contract I think that means quite a bit of profit? We paid EUR 10mio for him (approx. £8.5mio). On a 3 year contract that works out at £2.83mio per year. So with one year left on his contract, the profit should be £20mio less £2.83mio = £17.17mio profit....if we can sell Joe for anything above £2.83mio before the end of this week I think our PSR woes could be done, and without selling Murillo or MGW.

If my maths is correct.....

If this comes to fruition then it's a great bit of business by the club. Along with Worral, Mangala is also likely to move, although I would like him to be given another chance. If all this means we keep Murillo, MGW, CHO and Elanga and can strengthen that's a superb window.

No he was on loan to them with an option to buy @ 20M
So looks like they will take Mangala and Niakate for around 40M, which should see us well within the rules.
Does seem like there is some worrying developments around Murillo though...shame!

Sure, but I thought the option to buy had been exercised.

And I think we need 20mio after Mangala.
