It means if he gets in trouble for something again within the next 12 months, the one match ban gets invoked on top of whatever punishment he gets for getting in trouble again.
Surprised UEFA don't want him wearing something on his ankle.

Kane doesn't need to be fast. FFS.

he will be in the right place at the right time if he gets the service. The numbers don't lie - he drops deep because he knows he has to.

He will end his career with a record that any player would die for - except perhaps for any trophies.

He smashes records everywhere he goes. He just gets on with his job quietly and without a fuss.

Lewandowski, Haaland, players who's records were never going to be beaten.

But sure Kane is the problem because he's slow.

Exactly. Kane is world class. His assists are a massive part of his game and lo and behold he’s not doing it under Southgate. Similar Walker, massive threat and assists, not doing it under Southgate. Foden, massive talent, not doing it under Southgate.

I can’t quite put my finger on it. But there has to be a common denominator here?

I reckon it's German grass.

Not sure why anyone is blaming Kane, he is just another excellent player being ruined by GSs negativity. I can see why Toney might be preferable but that’s because of our horrible tactics and sitting back so deep, not Kane’s fault

Do we need to start up the PH England Bingo Buzzword sheet? I can start us off:

"Commentator mentions Roy Hodgson and his managing the Swiss and English"
"Commentator mentions how many touches Harry Kane has had at half time"
"Pundits say that England have to up their performance if they want to go far in the tournament"
"Some sort of General Election reference made"
"Camera cuts to Cole Palmer looking bored on the bench"

After Frances performance last night, and Spains needing a good few hundred chances to score, if England do make the final then we have a great chance. No more negativity from me. Think we're a certainty to click and finally win convincingly!

The tournament's wide open on form... But we still ha e to beat the Swiss.

Another cagey performance, 1-1 after 90...2-1 to us in extra time.

I'm going to back off with the negativity as well, especially after that dross I watched last night. England certainly aren't the only country to play boring football that is for sure.

One change that was necessary due to injury . Let’s hope it clicks or they’ll be deserved clown pictures of Southgate across the press tomorrow. I cannot believe he’s not made any other changes. Feels like he’s flogging a dead horse but I do hope I am wrong.

Looks like Southgate has gone 3-5-2 with Saka at left wing back and Foden and Bellingham sitting behind Kane.

Change in formation = a change of fortune?

No it doesn't. It looks exactly the same team that has stunk out the 4 previous games. Konsa for suspended Geuhi. What makes you think that the formation will be any different?

Card totting up wasn't it?

But agree - this bunch have had 5+ games to get it going and they still play like a bunch of Sunday leaguers.

If we go out tonight, it's down to Southgate not making any changes to see if something else works.

No Trent FFS

He should just come home, as no point being there.

If players aren't performing, yet the manager selects them 4 games in a row, instead of someone else, who's fault is that? Has Gordon underperformed? Or Watkins? Or Bowen? Or Eze? Or Wharton? Or is GS saying that he has a 26man squad but half of them are rubbish, so he has no choice but to pick the same starting 11-13 and if they aren't performing, that's on them and there is nothing else he can do?

Well we know Southgate doesn't change too much; so this is a lot for him. Back 3, two wingbacks and moving Foden more centrally next to Bellingham or sitting just behind Kane. These are HUGE moves for Gareth that he must be having an internal fit.

In my view, his hand had been slightly forced with these changes. But we've all been moaning he's not changing anything; well he has now and playing Foden in a stronger position, so I for one am looking forward how this change works. It can't be any worse than what we've seen.

How do you know it's a back 3?
