He's out of contract next summer and always broken. Bar the Don Carlo era, he's never been prolific. I'd fk him off even if we got chump change for him
Hopefully 15-25m and then we've got room to breathe with the way PSR works (massive profit on DCL and then amortize the new buys over their contact length) - we could buy several players and indeed have been linked with a fair few.

Who's that Luton chap (striker) - he looked a unit. Am I remembering right that he's out of contract?

Edit: Adebayo. Not on a free but approx 8m. Let's say 20m for Dom (all PSR profit bar 2.5m) and Adebayo on a 5 year contract, only paying 1.6m a year over 5 years (plus lower wages than Dom)

Hopefully getting our business done early cloud9

But you just know what will happen DCL will go to the Barcodes, play 25 games next season and score 20 goals

Would like to see him stay , but we know we can't keep them all , best possible news would be keeping Braithwaith, and us having one of the best defences in the League, agree the Luton lad is worth a look .

Twitter is full of rage at us, Villa and Newcastle circumventing PSR by buying and selling players

confused

We not allowed to sell now?

Not allowed to amortize signings over the contract?

Not allowed to class academy players as pure profit?

Genuinely don't get it. Not like we charged Villa 50m for Dobbin and gas their lad off them for 50m. 10m is bang on the money for Dobbin in this crazy market (that clubs of the moaning fans have fueled, let me add)

Admittedly I've seen talk of 37m for DCL which died feel a bit punchy, but apparently Chelsea are sniffing around which always sends the price mental. Completely off topic, Minteh for 37m, anyone? biggrin (that's punchy too but he looks a prospect)

Academy players are 100% pure profit, that's in the rules. As for the deals between us and Villa, yes it's convenient, but if we want Tim and they want Dobbin then what's the issue? And like you say, the prices are sensible.

I've heard good things about the lad from Newcastle, I've a mate that's a barcode and he's fuming that they're letting him go. I'm hoping he comes to us as there are a few clubs meant to be in for him

Harrison is back on loan for the season again. I quite like him, plus there's no loan fee which helps with PSR

I know it's the off season, but this is nearly as dead as the City thread!

Godfrey has left for £10m, so hopefully that's the PSR hole filled and Branthwaite stays and we can build around him under Friedkin's ownership.

We've a spot to fill in the c/b for cover, but we seem to be shaping up nicely. Not used to this positivity as a toffee...

If we can off load Holgate and Keane even if it’s peanuts we can save on the salaries.

Cannot understand the capacity at BMD L, surely could have been 60k+

Season Ticket wait list is vast and getting tickets for home games at Goodison is hard work.

I believe there's quite a lot of corporate which takes the capacity down, but gives a better return on revenue than additional seats do

Agree. So short sighted. I would go 5-10 times a year if I could get tickets easily, how many are like me and who would go if the availability was there.

Likewise, done for ST x2 but manage 5-6 games a season when I’m fast enough on the website… I’d happily be spending (a lot) more to see games if they had capacity.
