Quality finish by Rudiger there… Ach well, give the travelling support the reason to chant ‘you’re no singing any more…’

Hoping for the best, can’t see us scoring though, tempted by the 14-1 on offer on us not to score in the tournament.
Obviously too late now after the OG but If I'd have seen that I'd have thought it was like printing money!

It's actually quite ironic. The Scottish being battered.

I wasnt expecting a win but this is a shocking performance.

Clarke has got it horrendously wrong. Team selection and tactics are rotten.

Porteous is a clown, opening glamour game in the biggest tournament hell ever play in and he makes that challenge. I’d honestly send him home.
This. Saw that lineup and predicted a complete trouncing.
The usual stuff from Scotland FC - not taking the competition seriously and getting gubbed.

Those stats flatter the Scotland performance.

the only changes for me were:

- hanley start instead of porteous
- gilmour start instead of mcgregor (maybe even christie)

not sure what else clarke could have done?!?

451 instead of 541.
Crowds midfield and pushes germans further back, gives us a small chance of breaking up the pitch. The 5 at the back just allowed Germany to camp in our half and allow top class players an easy attack.

Bearing in mind Clarke said he only wanted players who were playing why on earth would he start tierney who missed 21 games this season and ralston who isn’t a regular for celtic. He left John souttar behind who is still capable of a brain fart but a better player than porteous.

IMO the team should have been
Gunn
Hendry,cooper,McKenna,Robertson
Mctominay,mcginn,McGregor,McLean,gilmour.
Adams

Not exactly a maverick attacking team but certainly a lot harder to beat than what was put out tonight.

When you looked at individual performances it looked like one player didn’t know what the man next to him was meant to be doing.

As an Englishman (Northumberland so almost Scottish) living in Scotland, I watched this, started with a bit of hope and just watched any hope crumble. Of course Germany has a much greater population than Scotland so the chances are they're going to get more good players but watching last night, the Scotland team looked lost, weren't marking the opposition leaving them to roam freely, waiting for a ball in their wide open space.

My first thought was how did they only record that few fouls by the Germans...
Some quality finishing by the Germans

I'm English/Irish, but follow all the Home teams in internationals. I had hopes for Scotland. They were dashed. How good are Germany? I don't know. They won at a canter and weren't challenged.

Two matches to go. Scotland can't play this badly again.

Massive game against the Swiss coming up need at least a point from that
The Germans has they sussed with a high press and we get trying the same thing playing it out from the back
See if Clark can find a defence that works by wends

After seeing the Swiss play today, sadly I don't see us getting anything out of Wednesday's game.
