Think that's the right decision, the defender was in the way of the keeper if he dived for it.

I dont think the Dutch guy made any difference because the keeper was never going to save it in the first place.

I think it's a subjective call and has been called as such. I wonder what an automated AI system would have said?

As soon as it's a Premier League VAR ref, the decision takes bloody ages of course. What the fk are they debating in there? There should be a 30-second limit, else the on-field decision stands. If it's more than 30 seconds, then you're not sure, and if you're not sure then it's not a clear and obvious error.

Two decent teams pretty much cancelled each other out.

That's a great point about the keeper's body position (ie, the wide legs) meaning he couldn't save the ball.

In this 24 team format, group matches between the stronger teams are not the ones to watch. This one is a case in point. Much more fun seeing if the likes of Georgia or Slovenia can get through. Those matches really matter.

Understandably cagey, and no Mbappe for France. I agree though, was hoping for a more exciting spectacle

Still Spain, and to a lesser extent Germany, looking the most likely for me.

Half of the french lot walking around chatting afterwards whilst covering their mouths with their hands. The match has finished, just why do these muppets do it?
