Does anyone think there’s anything to the reported issue with Nice and United both being in the Europa League next season? I’m unsure of the rules, but seen it mentioned in a few places yesterday.
I’ve wondered about that since the start of the Ineos interest. Is it ANY stake that matters or is it just a controlling stake? If it’s any stake at all, I can’t imagine how Ineos can get around it without giving up one of their assets. Saying that, I understand shell-companies are all the rage in terms of football club ownership and funding… ![whistle](/inc/images/whistle.gif)

As for having it at the council house? I’d rather watch the game from home, would probably have a better view too! No football should be played there nevermind an fa cup semi final.
Oi, what's with the drive by ![laugh](/inc/images/laugh.gif)

I’m pretty sure you’d agree with me. Most of my West Ham mates do

What ****ing moron offered Martial a 5 year contract in 2019? I'm sure he was poor around 2019?
Purely an exercise in protection of asset value. A very expensive lesson in how not to do it but at least we shouldn’t be doing it again in future with the new team at the helm.tele_lover said:

At that stage he was 23, had scored 46 in 162 appearances (3 1/2 seasons). So not stellar stats but definitely showing potential.
I haven’t checked, but I think his fitness (and consequent availability) only really declined in the second half of his time in Manchester.
It’s a tricky one. I don’t think you can necessarily criticise the cloob for buying him in 2015, although they arguably overpaid.
The decision to award a contract extension on performance grounds is ok-ish, maybe marginal, but as mentioned above, they had an asset to protect.
In any case no blame can be apportioned to the player for the decisions of the cloob.

Just read this on the BBChttps://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cz77...
Seems like if nothing is put in place UTD drop out of the Europa
Also an issue for City and Villa in the champions league.

Villa was an issue this year, but not for next. Vitoria Guimares haven’t qualified for the CL. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cz77...

Girona will drop out of the CL if it’s an issue for them and City.
Our problem is we finished lower than Nice did in their league so we are the ones who have to give way.

Is this true that we're out of Europe? None of the MSM scum have picked up on it, must be too busy trying to get ETH sacked.
It's not been finalised. And even if it happens you go Into the conference competition
Edited to add I posted a BBC link earlier today - so that's your "MSM" point covered.

That's also possible, yes. Maybe a "wait until next summer for us" type conversation.
What the board have done, which is new, is not give Anthony Martial a contract renewal. He's confirmed he is off. Not really a surprise, but still in a way a sign of change and new things to come. Probably quite the poster child for the Glazer / Post Fergie era. Lots of potential, some moments of real class but bogged down by long periods of being broken and / or seemingly unable to be fully motivated. There's not been a much better sight, or rarer one, than a truly flying and happy Martial. Great when it happened, though. Good luck to him, I guess.

Ridiculous having the semi finals at Wembley (imo)
It devalues the final as an "occasion"
Exactly this-unless it was two London clubs in a semi final obviously It devalues the final as an "occasion"
Were we both to get in a semi we could sell out Wembley several times over.

As for not having enough tickets to go around, it was always like that in semi finals of the past. Hillsborough & Villa Park were only around 40k capacity when they held semi finals, I think.
Think a solution should be sought whereby the semi finals are played elsewhere than Wembley. Won't happen though.

Champions League Final tonight:
Viewers in the UK will be able to watch for free on discovery+, which is available via an app or on a smart TV.
Is this on freeview? or on YouTube?
In the past, YouTube showed champions league final, on BT sports channel?
Further digging:
There is also a free livestream available to non-TNT subscribers via discovery+, but unlike in previous years, the game will not be shown on YouTube in the UK.
To access this free livestream, you will need to register a free discovery+ account.
