Dembele must be one of the most frustrating and wasteful players going.
Horrendous isn't he?

France labouring tonight and have been quite sloppy at times. I'm sure they'll grow into the tournament as ever though.

Austria are surprisingly good tonight and France looking like a bit like England, slow, ponderous and wasteful.

I know it is early doors but Germany and Spain won’t have seen anything to worry them thus far.

Fancy getting booked for that. What a prat.

That nose is going to need looking at as well.

Kante has been very good today, looked like when he was at his prime at Chelsea

Although Austria defended well, passed well enough, distributed etc. around midfield and so on, they are utterly lacking in final third/up front. Never looked like scoring at all. I’m not sure Arnautovic did anything whatsoever?

Kante always looks like he has been photoshopped onto the screen but they got the scale wrong and he’s come out smaller than he ought to be.

Brilliant player though, and one of the nicest blokes in football as well apparently. Very humble.

Might affect his breathing if he plays again.

It wasn't a great performance by France tonight and I currently fancy Germany to win. Unless Portugal really impress tomorrow.

Kante, like playing against 12 players.

Mbappes nose looks fked on the replay.

Didn't really look threatening did France, didn't really have any attacks on goal, took a deflection and own goal to win. Austria did a good job of containing them then looked threatening until the last bit of the pitch, although they had a couple of chances.

Was that 7 yellow cards in that game? two were for treading on a foot after making a tackle. French did seem to go down easily and make a fuss, a few times jumping up after no foul given. So frustrating.

Good to see Giroud get an appearance at the end. How old is he now 37, 38? must be his last tournament?

Must be me but as a neutral, i found that quite entertaining.
How the worlds greatest footballer missed a totally open goal, one of his team mates the same a few minutes earlier. France tactically the better side and more attacking but Austria had their chances only failed to actually make anything of them.
I had the sound off and music on the headphones, what was Mbappe rolling around on the pitch for after he'd gone off injured.

He had his nose broken. France wanted to make a substitution which the 4th official had cleared, ball went out of play but ref didn’t allow the sub so Mbappe rolled onto the pitch to stop play (he was covered in blood). Deschamps was rightly livid, ref was an arse, Mbappe got a yellow for his action.

This is such a fantastic game to watch, it really is, and the Muldur goal is the best I've seen so far, a brilliant hit.
