Anyone else watched the Howard's Way film?

It's bloody brilliant. The story of the 85 team, the sound track and the social history.

Just sad that they spoil the ending with what should have been our beginning.

Worth a watch.

Coyb nsno.
Now that was some team. no big name players at the time ,but boy as a unit brilliant

Watched it last night, really enjoyed it. Bails looked a bit rough, and Nev wants to leave the pies alone, he is fatter then John Barnes.

Social history side was good, how I wish we had a team half as good, no big games but collectively one of the best teams to grace English football.

Growing up in the 80s, Everton were pretty unstoppable back them - most of the sky sports generation havent a clue how football was back then. Even Man City with unlimited funds still havent won more titles than Everton, despite the latter having the longest trophy drought in history.

I was a teenager back in 1988 and was in my local pub back in Ireland, a typical weekend scenario, boisterous and loud, I can vividly recall the smoke and the atmosphere - there was a football game on TV and I was intrigued, I had to sit on the pool table to see it. Bewildered by the raucous noise I was transfixed and then there was a goal, I remember cheers from the back end of the pub and found out Everton were playing Liverpool and Wayne Clarke scored in the old 'away' end, I went to support 'the other' team.

I even managed to get my mugshot in a programme V Sunderland, I somehow found myself in a place in Australia called Everton (a story in itself) and had to get a few photos and the club put them in a match programme to my amazement - I got a text message from a friend saying how have you got into the programme.

Why do you feel it's necessary to post some childish crap on a forum of no interest to yourself? It's not making you any way clever in case you think it is. On the contrary it gives the feel you are immature and, well dense - for want of a better word.

United are in a transitional period, yet still retain the capacity to captivate, ejaculate and enthrall like no other footballing side on the planet.

You really must be 12 years old with your fascination with penis related comments. Surely it's your bed time now?

And United have been dull as fk to watch ever since Fergie left. Now be a good chap and bugger off please?

See that Levy has axed Pochettino and installed Maureen within 12 hours, what's the betting that Moshri has been in contact
with Poch, I reckon the next few days will be interesting........

Forget that, Solskjaer is skating on thin ice at the old toilet, Poch fits them perfectly.....

I'd say Moshiri has probably been on the phone to wish Poch luck with his job at Bayern, there's no way he'd come to us laugh

No chance Hilly! I really think we should give Silva a full season, I am sick of revolving doors and think stability will bring success. We need a goal scorer and have done since my mum was buying me Startrites!!!

True, Everton haven't had goal scorers since Tony cottee, Gary lineker and Graeme sharp era. Getting a new manager won't solve that. Probably throw Lukaku into that list too, at the lower end of the rating...

We should get Kean onto the pitch continually ignoring him is pointless seeing how much he cost, he undoubtedly has talent and just needs more game time. The same happened to lookman.

Indeed. If we can't beat these we've got big problems.
