The joey barton thread
Discussion
He's been at his new club for 5 minutes and already he's fallen out with his teammates and manager.

He's came up to Scotland thinking he could look like a superstar.
He's thoroughly embarrassed himself with his big mouth and being shown up on the park. He has looked a really poor player.
With his comments over the last few days it sounds as if he's trying to engineer his way out the door.
I'm sure Rangers and all their fans would be happy to see him leave already. I can see him going, but only if Rangers don't need to find money to pay him off.
It doesn't sound as if the offence merits a sacking.

The fact he was on national radio might be deemed a sacking offence though, I personally think he's realised what he's got himself into with his new club and is trying to work his way out. He's thoroughly embarrassed himself with his big mouth and being shown up on the park. He seemed to behave himself at Burnley, he did a good job there, he would have been a good asset for them in their quest to stay in the P.L this season. On a personal level I do think he's a cock.
A winning team isn't under pressure. His legs are gone. He's an asset to nobody.
How to win friends and influence people.......
And now he's been caught betting:
"JOEY Barton could face another suspension after it emerged he is under investigation for betting on a Celtic match."......
".......The Record understand a red flag was raised by bookmakers last week after a bet was placed on Celtic to suffer a heavy defeat in the Nou Camp.
It’s alleged the wager – for Celtic to lose by at least three goals – was placed on Barton’s personal account with bookies Betfair."

JOEY BARTON rubbished Scottish football today as he slammed criticism of his performances for Rangers by claiming he's trying to adapt to a "much lower level".
The controversial midfielder was suspended by the Ibrox club for three weeks on Monday as the row over a training ground bust-up in the aftermath of the 5-1 defeat to Celtic rumbles on.

I used to think he was a massively aggressive Scouse bell-end.
Then he tried to reinvent himself at QPR/Marseille/Burnley, read a few books by Nietzsche and Morrissey's biography and starting tweeting like a lower league Cantona, I thought I'd give him the benefit of the doubt, everyone deserves a second chance.
Turns out he's a massively aggressive Scouse bell-end.

He couldn't have made much on that, it must've been heavy odds on!The Rangers look as if they are desperately trying to offload Barton but i think they will struggle to sack him if he's found guilty of this.
Ian Black was found guilty of placing bets on games he was actively involved in. They never sacked him and the SFA let him off with a 3 game ban with an additional 7 games which were suspended.
Interesting to see what happens.
