But it’s not breaking the rules, it’s a clever way round them, and a player is worth what someone is willing to pay, and who can tell what is over paying

Yeah but you know what I mean. Rules are made and then "rich club x" pays enough clever people to find convoluted ways around the rules. Mentioning no namescitycough.

Granted, this is one of the less convoluted ways but really the rules should be more watertight. But then governing bodies don't have the spare cash the clubs do to spend on this kind of thing I suppose.

Watching the Slovenia Portugal game and I’m sure I heard the commentator say something t like “Liverpool fans he’s one your own” and don’t think he was referring to Jota

I was confused by that. He didn't expand on it. Put it down to guessing that he meant they were also a Liverpool fan.

Probably about Sporar then. Must admit I missed that line - I tune in and out of commentator prattle. Slovenia - far far better defending than attacking.
