I generally don't post random transfer rumours but if this was even possible supplemented by Diaz leaving, it would be a statement signing. Of course, it probably will never happen but a boy should be allowed to dream:

Completely agree. smile

Always a nightmare during an international summer though as get liked with everyone. At the minute it's Kimmich and Musiala from Germany, Williams from Spain, Calafiori from Italy and Yoro from France. Who knows who it'll be tomorrow?

Must admit I hope Slot uses Gakpo more on the left. Seems far more comfortable there. Netherlands poor tonight but Austria well deserved win.

No player created more chances (3) or played more line-breaking passes in the final third (5) for England against Denmark than Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Two starts. Subbed off in both games. Dropped against Slovenia.

Hung out the dry. He’s hardly the problem.

‘Line break passes’… pretty much defines England's problem.

They play football by numbers… endless short passes sideways and backwards in midfield… no ambition… the forwards stop making runs as no one looks for them or tries to hit them.

Sorry disagree - he played walking football whenever I watched him and doesn’t fit in the system. Selection tonight still a load of bks though

Kane needed dropping. Watkins up top Saka and palmer on wings. Bellingham in with Foden and rice. So not advocating he start but by just replacing him it implies he was the only issue. Rough.

If England win well tonight, the hard of thinking will say it's simply because TAA was dropped and the vitriol towards him will endure.

I never watch England footy matches as a rule. Tonight I watched the England match.

It's reminded me why I never watch England footy matches...

WTF is Kane even on the pitch for? His past reputation?! Dull, unimaginative crap. And England fans have the nerve to take the P out of Scotland - at least the Scots know they're crap. Watching that after the Netherlands vs Austria game was a real come down.

Stop making runs? They never started as far as I am concerned, .Everyone constantly comes short for everything and have done all tournament, Kane spends most of his time in midfield FFS.

Start Palmer, Gordon, Trent and Watkins instead of Saka, Foden, Bellingham and Kane as they all look exhausted and bereft of ideas, and it would be a different story. Never going happen though under Southgate.

I can just see the clubs complaints when the players return with less fitness than those sitting on the sofa all summer, due to the lack of movement.

It's unreal isn't it. You watch them and whoever is in central midfield with the ball they look up and there's four players in front of them standing completely still or walking. None of them want to receive the ball, so of course the ball goes back or sideways. Then the midfielders get slated for not being able to create anything.

There was one passage of play last night where Trippier was stood right on the left touch line in acres of space, 4 players ahead of Gallagher stood still, Trippier walked 3 yards up the touch line, then the ball was passed back so he walked 5 yards back again. The ball went back to Gallagher, Trippier called for the ball and was rightly ignored because he clearly had no interest in using the space ahead of him, but he was still the best option by miles. Ball ended up back with the keeper.

If forcing this rubbish on us wasn't bad enough, to then come out and make out that they played well and it's a tough game and that it's great that we topped the group is a complete pisstake. The best interview was John Stones' he clearly wanted to say it was absolute ste but knew if he did Southgate was on the other side of the room making out it was amazing.

Topped the group, the only team to win a game in the group, every other game int he group was drawn, goal difference +1. Every other tournament we've played in in my lifetime we would be on the plane home now.

If they start the season poorly he won't last till Christmas. The FA Cup win that's the only reason he still has a job will be long forgotten by that point.

Should give Southgate a nice break after the Euro's before taking over.. smile
