It’s said every time that it’s “important” the host nation does well and that was certainly a shot in the arm for German support which I’ve also seen reported across different channels has been muted leading up to the tournament.

An international quality own goal, too. Which was nice.

Once again Scotland do everything wrong when it matters. I thought they'd at least make it hard for the Germans to play; instead they sat back and let them do what they wanted.

Hopefully they'll do much better in the next game. Tactics totally wrong tonight. Or maybe the players just got scared and forgot everything.

I predicted a drubbing before kick off ,I was not wrong ,it was men against boys .
Swiss are also probably too good for Scots to get any points from .

I didn't like the new German incarnation of Chopper Harris ,got subbed at half time .

Maybe she is one of the most experienced female refs, no idea. Don’t care as long as they are decent commentators.

And all TV has to include sport has to have a female pundit, most are rubbish but some are decent and better than the likes of Owen or Joe bloody Cole.

Anyway Scotland were awful, was hoping for an upset
