I feel your pain. Same situation here with the daily 4x4 (Terrano). Kids, horse muck etc. My solution, strip all the seats and carpets out and pressure wash them. Two days in the sun sees them dry and like new without any scrubbing.

I washed the Elise yesterday and actually remembered to put it in the garage, so despite the rain overnight its still clean and ready for a polish.
One thing we differ on, I don't enjoy cleaning cars but I love the result.
We could make a perfect team, you clean them and I enjoy them?

I never understand why Black is the in colour these days in 4x4 vehicles when it shows the dirt all the time, especially when you live out in the Campo, I am one of the guilty ones as my 4x4 is black never again, and also I live out in the Campo 2 ks to the tarmac, I just don't bother washing the 4x4 very often because as soon as I return home it's filthy again.

The other problem colour that I have is my Corvette is yellow so when that is out in the fresh air especially in the summer it attracts flies like you wouldn't believe, but I love the colour.
It also seems to attract another type of vermin driving green and white vehicles.

I agree-all 4x4's were black when I was looking to buy-prob looks good in Chelsea for the school run but out in the campo its a right pita-constantly looks like I have driven through a sandstorm.I am through with black cars now-never again.

Most Spanish cars used to be White or silver to reflect teh sun - now they're black. I think it's a status symbol that says I've got aircon!'
