Bit of a long shot since there’s so few of us in the costa del sol area, but here goes anyway. Can anyone recommend a good body shop. I have two cars that need some painting. One I am not too fussy about but the other one I want perfect.

There was a guy in Monda on the Guaro road just on the left as you leave the village centre.

He repaired a Frogeye Sprite for me that I had stuffed into a gate post and so did a full body respray so that all panels would match.

He spent weeks preparing the whole body - flatting down between many base coats before the topcoat was applied he was very inexpensive for the effort.

Unfortunately this was 10 years ago as I have managed to avoid gateposts since then.

His small workshop was immaculate and the finished job was superb.

There is also a guy up there called Diago who services and repairs all sorts of exotica Ferrari et al – I was told that he was set-up by some Arabs.

I live in Alhaurin el Grande, so anywhere within a reasonable driving distance. I want a passable job done on my Terrano but a top notch job on my Audi.

How is your Spanish? I know of some people but it´s all Spanish garages/bodyshops. The British run ones around here seem dreadful

Hi Andy,

I can usually get by with the Spanish but for something like this I would normally bring my 14 year old with me to translate. Its just a good body shop that I am interested in rather than general garages, since I am a practising mechanic/diagnostic specialist.

thanks

Sorry I should have said that both of the guys that I mentioned only speak Spanish. But at the end of the day you look at the work and say "How Much?"

Bit of a late reply to this but Talleres Madrid in Nueva Andalucia (above Puerto Banus) are top class. All the Ferrari's Porsche etc go there. Speak to Jesus.
