Well the Smoking ban has been in place for just over a week here in Barcelona (I know it is being phased in across the rest of Spain) and it´s quite strange. People are huddled outside and the bars feel a little quieter. As a non-smoker it´s much nicer to go out, but I am not sure what it will do to revenues.
Anyone else seeing this impacting where they live?

Well enjoy it while the bars etc are still open.
It seems half the pubs in England have closed in the last 2 years.
I obviously understand the smell is realy offensive to non smokers (like myself) but these places cant survive without the money spent by the other half of the population.
Make them (smokers) stand outside and laugh at them when it rains but you will see the damage caused to your own way of life in the not too distant future.

whilst i detest smoking i detest civil liberty infringements even more-on a lighter note an enterprising chinese owned popular workers bar in town(very rough and ready)has bought a long and high transit, put two sets of tables and chairs in it,hooked up a light and parked it outside the bar for the smokers.you gotta hand it to the split links.
