Mmm...must admit, the frito Mallorquin and a bottle of bubble bath makes for a great DIY jaccuzi
Here's what the road outside my apartment looked like. Yes, it is running into the lake!
Massive hailstones in Pollensa this afternoon. Sunshine in Alcudia. I find the weather bizzare for this time of year.

Surely in the heat of the day your P&J will be tucked up in bed having a siesta while you use your badly bruised and severely beaten 15yr old Seat Ibiza for trips to the shops.
Doesn't everyone out there have one of those.
Maybe not for too much longer if Spanish workers /management don't work out how to make money now that VW have given them 5 yrs to turn the business around or be closed down.Doesn't everyone out there have one of those.
I think it's more like VW saying.....Look in reality we're shutting you down whatever happens but at least we've told you 5yrs ahead of time. That way we (VW) can have a bigger slice of the pie.
The funeral bell tolls for another car manufacturer. The spanish though are very proud of their heritage and SEAT is part of that. I can't see VW necessarily selling more cars in Spain as a result as the spanish mentality is to never forget. I don't know for sure but are SEAT's cheaper to buy in Spain than VW's.
Let's face it, the spanish aren't rolling around in cash at the mo and it will take a good 5yrs+ for Spain to get back on it's feet. Maybe that's what VW are banking on.
Poor SEAT

I don'tknow if buying a Seat in Spain is cheaper than anywhere else or not, but in other ways it is such as the Seat/Older Audi A4 re badged, but I don't think the Spanish are as patriotic as the French with cars. The funeral bell tolls for another car manufacturer. Maybe it's just me but as a spaniard i am proud that my country has it's own make of vehicle, manufactured in Spain and sold worlwide. Admitedly they are basically german parts derived but that does make them utterly reliable and they do exactly what it says on the tin.
Nothing there not to be proud of
As for the French, they are indeed fanatical about a lot of things like cooking, wine, and football, and equally i have no doubt they are very proud of having not one but three national motor car manufacturers.
However, having said all that it doesn't make french cars any good does it.
