Importing a car into UK from Spain.

Hello all, this seems like the best place here to ask this question. I'm looking at buying a car in Spain. It's an oldie and doesn't have any documentation. Plan is to get it to the UK and then deal with that. I'm going to arrange shipping but to do that does it need any paperwork for actually getting into the UK?!

Any help or advice would be much appreciated. Best ask here before I start looking like a rookie to the prospective shippers and watch the price go up, up, up!
