Interesting Roads and Places around Granada

In October I have a week in Granada with work. There is a good chance I will get a couple of days off, does anyone have any suggestions of good roads to drive, places to visit and places to eat in the area?

There's a very interesting road in the form of the Guadix race track Guadix itself is also worth a visit!

There's so much to do and see in Granada itself that I would be tempted to stay there, we spend many weekends up there as the tapas, food and atmosphere is much nicer than down on the coast. You could also take a trip up to the Sierra Nevada ski resort which is a superb road and although it's very unlikely you could ski you can still have a wander around and take in the views
