As for the Bad Boys and their Cigarettes. I always dread shooting the gap between Formentera and the South of Ibiza, none of them have a clue what stand on vessel means! rolleyes

Shooting that gapis absolute murder between mid July and end August all the amateurs who are boat owners but not boat users come down and play chicken, or that's what it seems like to me, very dangerous.

3 boats so far that I know of this year upon the rocks between Formentora and Ibiza, total write offs, and that's only the ones who have gone full on, not the ones that have had a scrape or two.
I would never buy either a used Spanish car or boat of any description, very seldom looked after properly( some of the Skippered yachts and powerboats excluded )

Here's an owner/driver boat from last summer!

He drove over one of two bricks that are clearly marked on the chart.

It's still in the yard being repaired.
They managed to get it alongside the fuel quay before the arse end sank onto the mud.
Engine full of water! That'll be a cheap repair then.....
It was too big to get in the travel lift dock, so they had to get these cranes in to lift it.
I remember saying to the fellow on the boat next to me, that the spreader bars they where using on the cranes looked too short. Sure enough, they popped the hull!

Yea a big Oops! But just another areshole. Who cares? Another piece of Italian plastic stinkpot ste. It's a shame it's being repaired IMO. It should be chainsawed up and turned into something more usefull, like loft insulation. At least it would be doing more for the envioroment.
I could probably run my pickup for the rest of my life for what that prick puts in it for a 10 day break!

The Healey on the other hand, is OMG georeous isn't it? I have to admit, when I looked at the pictures a bit of wee came out!
But for me, "less" than 70k, it might as well be hand crafted from unobtainium! rolleyes

Same for me when these week a year warriors jump in these Cigarette boats with twin v engines of some unknown quantity, absolutely bloody lethal, and I wouldn't give one houseroom, the only good thing is listening to them on tickover.

Now that 3000 that is very tasty, they hope it will sell in September.
