Yeah roll on the winter! Too many fat/red/tatoo'd/drunk/vomiting tourists/coaches/dithering rental car drivers already.
True enough, but it is nice to see that big yellow thing in the sky out, and also to be able to sit out to eat in the evenings.Trouble on this Island is now that we are getting Traffic jams and trying to drive in Ibiza town after 11.00 a.m. is a bloody nightmare, so shop early and then back home, and then up to my neck in the pool with a nice cold one.
I'll be passing by the north of your rock on Sunday evening.
Depending on the weather, I may sit on the hook for the night, then carry on into Valencia on Monday.
Taking my Boss's motor palace, so they can sit on top and wave at the TV camera's all weekend.
I'll be shooting out of there Friday evening, to get home and watch it from the comfort of my sofa.

We seem to have loads of the big toys out round the Island already, no doubt you have already as well, some nice and some crap.Depending on the weather, I may sit on the hook for the night, then carry on into Valencia on Monday.

Saw a lovely Superyacht yesterday on the pick just outside of Ibiza Town,Figueretas side, the hull was in a metallic Turquoise she is about 150m long I would guess, and 3/4 decks above the 1st open deck.
Valencia is not one of my street circuits to visit as yourself I shall be in air-con watching with a nice cool one.
How is the Caterham getting on ?
Have a good trip.

Then it's a week of clean clean clean.
There are three boats off our quay in Alcudia heading there too, so I may have a couple of heavy evenings ahead!
I saw my Seven for the first time in a month yesterday, (I had a little talk with the beastie) I'm waiting for Caterham to get some driveshafts in stock, they seem to have run the stock low during this Tony Fernandez buy out.
But I've been flat out trying to get my house project finished so I can move in this year, and get some rent coming in off my apartment.
Nearly there.
Now the house if getting close, I'm about to start on my boat....That's next in line. I have a strong need to get out and sail alone again. All this big plastic Gin Palace stuff gets to you after a while.
It's amaizing how the Guys I use for work, Carpentry (an excellent German shipright) paint, (Ex Jaguar F1 Guy) tenting, and other stuff, are so happy to come and do things for me on my own little sailboat, and they all say how nice it is to get chance to work on a "real boat" and take it to heart.
The Seven, well, that's a journey.
Anyway, summer is definitely here, it's getting HOT!
What is you little boat as you say ?.................my last little boat was that I bought a Rival 34 hull and fitted it out(my original trade) then sold everything and just buggered off for 5 yrs sailing
I understand where they are coming from as it's so nice to work with your hands boatbuilding, I love playing with wooden boats,I used to build "CHERUBS" a John Sharp design years ago for my fathers business.

Oh, and we had a nice smooth trip thanks.
I delayed it a day, as Sunday was still a bit lumpy and wind from NE, Monday it was flat and veered SE so my nice little anchorage on the NW of your rock was lovely.
Got into Valencia on Tuesday afternoon. Moored up alongside the fast bit of track after the bridge.
My ears are still ringing from practice on Friday, and the boat was covered in rubber dust when we got off!
My deckie had it gleaming too, poor sod!
As an aside, is that the John Sharp who designed the Halmatic sail boats?
I know the Halmatic name as I was involved with the build of a very nice Nelson 40 pilot boat, at Dale Sailing in Milford Haven, and I know Halmatic built the early ones (although designed by keith Nelson) One of my best Pals owns the ex Cowes Harbour Master's 1964 Nelson 34.
When I worked on a 78 meter converted salvage tug, we had the 40 built as a tender.
We'd plop it in on a 15 ton single lift crane without spreader bars, and it didn't even creak!
Nice seaworthy boats the rival 34.

My mistake the "Cherub" was designed in New Zealand by a John Spencer and was 12 foot long and weighed 70kgs fully rigged, and was crewd normally by 2 men and was seriously fast.
I was going to ask you where you parked your bosses boat but you answered that question, I noticed in Q3 today that at the end there was a very large toy manouvering around in that area where you moored up, and perhaps they were moving because of brake dusk.
Yep I loved my Rival was one of the last hulls out of the mould, fantastic sea boat, any of us would give up before that boat did, she would take anything thrown at her sea wise, when I sold her the new owner took her straight across to the West Indies.
They were a real sea boat not one for weekend playing with, more of setting off and cutting a groove and then sailing for 14days or more.

No, the Boss will call me and tell me where he's left it, or he'll bring it back.
Either way it'll be trashed!
The superyacht you describe sounds like "A".

Awfull looking thing.
ETA yes, it was a boring race wasn't it. No podium for Jenson either.
I did a couple of hours on the Caterham this afternoon, to rest my brain.

That's the one, not very subtle, looks like a modern Royal Navy Frigate is about to appear.
There are a couple of very large yachts in at the moment one has a very large flying bridge built I think in Australia.
Sounds like your boss likes to keep you busy organising the cleaning of his boat, must be pretty filthy after Valencia, did he have a good position for viewing.
Speak in a week or so off up to St Malo for a B'day party & try out some French wines for a change.

The boat was alongside the track, about 10 meters from the fence, so a great view from the flybridge. But the noise wore me down by Friday afternoon!
I was glad to get away.
Personally, if I had his sort of money, I'd have had the boat away from the track, stern to on T quay, where you don't need to get a water taxi to go anywhere, and had top notch grandstand seats on the start/finish line, where there is shade, and a massive screen on the opposite side of the track, so you can see what's going on. I would have also had pit passes.
My pal was there running a similar boat, and they had passes up the ying yang! Makes for a much better experience IMO.
But the Boss wants to organise everything himself, so that's that.
Have a good time in France. Maybe a bit cooler?

Had a good trip up to France and back, just managed to get back down on the Autovia as the French started their annual holidays and all the moronics on their annual pilgrimage back to Morocco, as now it is crazy time on the Autovias in France/Spain.
St Malo was hot and sunny 24c and now back home in the heat of our summer yesterday here was 34c our pool is up at 31c so a bit like a warm bath, still a month and a bit and the grockles start to dessapear.
Must be just as bad on your Island.
