good beaches marbella (ish)

Hi guys,

Hoping someone can help, we're coming over with another family this weekend to stay at my in laws at Guadalmina.

We usually go to heaven beach but is there anywhere similar nearby we should consider? We have children aged 4-9 so nikki beach etc prob not suitable.

Theres a nice family beach at La Cala which is half way to Fuengirola, about 15 mins drive East of Marbella.

Edit, just realised thats the other side of Marbella to you..

they've recently just dragged up loads of sand and re-furbed the beaches at the San Pedro end of the boulevard starting at Bora Bora resort and running all the way down to Banus. Was at Mistral Beach by the Guadalpin Banus hotel on Saturday and really nice relaxed atmosphere (barring the obviously raised prices!)

There's also Funny Beach the other side of Marbella which has all the go-karting etc if you've got the kids in tow - not a great beach but easy to while away a day there.

For kids swimming etc Cabapino is ppretty good, nice steady slope when your in the water, small marina at the end of the beach etc. few decent reseraunts.
Between Calahinda and Elveria , just west of Calahonda , google earth will find it for you
