I am interested in this http://www.pistonheads.com/sales/2294391.htm

It seems to have been around a long time even though the price looks good. It's a long way to visit, has anyone here got any info on it or been to see it (or even owned it!)?

Thanks
Bert

I'd suggest it was the colour putting people off. It does seem a tad shouty but without the attraction of being orange etc. It may be worth a cheeky offer if it floats your boat? Who knows, you could be the first to bag one retail with a price starting with a 3...

have not seen it in the flesh but this is one of my favourite cars for sale at the moment and price is certainly good.

Persian Blue looks good in the flesh.
I think that this was their demonstrator.

Think it was one of demonstrators, it was sold a while back and now back again?

Interior doesn't do it for me, but the price is competative.

It was a demo car, sold to a guy who didn't get on with it, now it's back. Agree the interior is a bit black and white, but the exterior colour looks great to me.

What did you think when seeing it Hodgre? Anything wrong?

Thanks
Bert

Nice colour outside, but the interior would put me off.

Agree with Justin, bit of a marmite interior if you ask me.

May cause issues further down the line when you come to sell if some of us are having the same reservation (know you should not buy based upon others people's tastes but can have an effect come resale time).

Cheers
George

I knew it would be that one before I hit the link! I check the Lotus PH market everyday!
It's not selling is it? Colour?

For me the Evora doesn't have the looks to match the asking, It's a great drive, nice seating and cab area, I had a go in one last year in Duns, on a bit of fresh tarmac at Charterhall race track. Again, for me, even if the asking was that of an Elise, I'd still buy and Elise over an Evora. Not my cuppa, I'll stick with my Elise.

I wonder what a retrim for the seats and white dash bits would actually cost?

I like the paint colour!

But then it is a different car aimed at a different demographic?

What a strange comment.

Yea I guess, to a degree. Would you say the Evora is more family/sports then?

A family of midgets perhaps! wink

It's effectively a sporting GT car - if you're in the market for a Cayman or 911. If you'd rather drive an Elise over an Evora then I would expect you to be more drawn to Caterhams and Ariels?

at CNs today
the car does look good and appears unmarked. In the flesh the interior does not look that bad. Even if you don't like it the steering, chassis etc would more than compensate

Well it got sold on Sunday. I was making enquiries about it for a non-ph-enabled friend. He was gutted.
