What did you think of it in the flesh? I'm thinking of one of these but do not like them in light colours - seem a bit soft. Any dark ones (black) there?

They are quite squat and wide in the flesh, the front end is the most striking feature imo, its very sharp and low, and I like the long headlights.
Its very well proportioned for a 2+2 and the side profile has more than a hint of Lancia Stratos with the curved windscreen and narrow side windows.
The crease running under each door is also a nice touch, it gets deeper running towards the front wheel.

Thanks for that! Sounds like it's better in the flesh than in the photos. My dealer is getting theirs end May so only a few weeks to wait!!! biggrin

I think your wrong, it may be the way a photo is 2 dimensional, but i'm sure Lotus would have put 4 wheels on it.
I'll ring my dealer tomorrow and get him to count them, surely underwheeling by one would be a pretty fundamental mistake, underwheeling by a factor of 2 would rate it as a wide motorbike smile

That hasn't got 4 seats has it? Isn't that what 2+2 means?

I think it looks great.

Agree, rear wheels/tyres look swamped by the rear bodywork.

Certainly not a looker by any stretch - dramatic maybe - I'm really glad it drives well. Interior ruined by that horrid steering wheel. Seats look good - Recaro seats in a Lotus :-D

Maybe the designer is moonlighting for Porsche....

FFS, it was virtually impossible to get the styling so wrong....

Rear seats (think TT tops) are an option.

The anthracite wheels probably dont help and there are two wheel designs.
The polished look multispokes seem to suit the car better, il get some more shots by the end of the week.

Thankyou for the wonderful photos Russell - it is truly a beautiful car, viewed it at Hethel last year. In my opinion dark colours do not suit it, the red, black and dark green cars on show there seemed to mute its lines. The handling and braking will put it in a different class to the Porsche, Audi competition. Well done Lotus, a great new British sportscar, bravo smile

Saw three of them at Loch Fynes , have to say they do look nice, but not in light colours. Personally i'd go for a bold colour rather than black. Mind you the aston vantage turned more heads and you can pick them up for the same price.

each one to their own though.

Agreed about the Aston. That's on my radar as well. I'm not buying till August so plenty of time to look around!
